Call for Presentation Proposals
Deadline for Submission has Passed
CleanMed, the premier global conference on environmentally
sustainable health care, invites proposals for presentations to
be delivered during the CleanMed 2011conference, April 5-8, 2011
in Phoenix, Arizona. Be part of the health care sector's
commitment to regenerative health that benefits patients, staff,
communities, and the bottom line.
More than 800 participants
from health care leadership and management, group purchasing
organization (GPO) executives, clinicians, architects,
designers, health care professionals, and environmental stewards
from diverse disciplines of the health care sector are expected
to attend.
Proposal Information
Program content should be timely and up to date, ideally
presented in a unique and/or creative way while providing new or
different solutions, skill building, group problem solving
sessions, and/or new methods of practice. Preference will be
given to proposals that involve a hospital partner. Interactive
and innovative presentation styles will receive preferential
review. The subject matter must be of sufficient scope to
meet continuing education objectives and deliver specific skills
to be attained.
Program must be strictly educational, providing fair, full
disclosure and equitable balance of all aspects of a topic being
presented. No endorsement, commercialism or selling will be
permitted. All program materials must be free from promotional
influence and/or marketing content.
Proposals must include the following pieces of information:

Speaker Information (name, credentials, title, organization, address,
phone, and e-mail) for each speaker along with a brief paragraph
biography for each speaker that can be used in accreditation
applications.

Abstract – paragraph describing the intent and content of the
presentation

Learning
Objectives – a minimum of four specific objectives, written with
action verbs highlighting results to be achieved (often written
as a response to – "At the conclusion of this session,
participants will be able to…")

Disclosure/Declaration of Vested Interest
– each accepted
speaker must complete and sign a Disclosure/Declaration of
Vested Interest form for the proposal to receive accreditation.
Program Length &
Speakers
All sessions are either 60 or 90 minutes in
length, inclusive of a question and answer period of 5-10
minutes. Sessions that are 60 minutes in duration are restricted
to a maximum of 2 speakers. Sessions that are 90 minutes in
duration are restricted to a maximum of 3 speakers. In the
interest of bringing more voices and perspectives to CleanMed,
conference organizers may ask potential presenters if they are
willing to combine panels. CleanMed may assign moderators for
each session.
Session Accreditation
To help attendees advance their
personal and professional development, CleanMed will apply for
continuing education credits from the following groups:
- American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE)
- American Institute of Architects (AIA)
- Association of Healthcare Resource and Materials Management (AHRMM)
- Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- Illinois Nurses Association (INA)

Speaker Registration and Travel
As a benefit to approved speakers,
conference registration fees will be reduced to half the early
bird rate. All speakers, presenters, and poster authors are
responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses.
Due Date
Proposals will be reviewed only if they are
received by 11:59 p.m. EST on September 24, 2010, include all
required information, and are strictly educational in nature.
Selection will be based on innovation, speaker qualifications,
topic relevance, objectivity, balance, and practicality. Final
selections will be based on the best possible mix of topics and
competencies for the various constituencies that will be
attending the conference
