Background
Across the United States, H2E Partner facilities and Champion organizations are working hard to improve environmental performance in the healthcare sector, one facility at a time. Many facilities achieve phenomenal success in their efforts to eliminate mercury, reduce waste and minimize toxic substances through increased recycling, environmental purchasing efforts, and better waste segregation. H2E Awards both document and recognize those successes.

H2E Award-winning facilities have gathered data, set goals, implemented, monitored and completed significant environmental improvements. H2E Champion Award winners have demonstrated commitment to helping healthcare facilities meet stringent environmental goals. By sharing information about their success in the H2E Awards Ceremony and Workshops, Award Winners inspire others to match their achievements, and offer practical advice about how they met their goals. Come congratulate them for their accomplishments and learn useful strategies to move your own programs forward!

H2E's Awards Presentation and Workshops take place the day before the CleanMed conference, the country's premier environmental showcase for healthcare, and provide attendees with an excellent lead-in to that conference's events and exhibits.

Award Winners Registration
One person from each H2E Award-winning facility is invited to attend the H2E Award Presentation Workshop for free. A second person from each facility is invited to attend for only a reduced $100 registration fee, and additional attendees are invited to attend for the regular workshop fee.

Bring your posters and/or educational fliers. H2E plans to "decorate" the reception, as well as other events throughout the CleanMed Conference, with example posters or fliers or other story-board like materials that showcase H2E Partners environmental programs. If you have questions about what to bring, please call Janet Brown at 413-253-0254.

Who Should Attend:
H2E Award Winners will be presented with a beautiful recycled-content plaque designed to be displayed proudly in a prominent location. There will also be a professional photographer taking pictures which will be mailed to each participant to be used in their awards communications outreach.

Whether you are an H2E Award Winner or not, the workshop is for healthcare industry leaders in learning about and duplicating award winner projects and programs. The workshop presentations are designed to provide participants with not only the why's of doing environmental work, but how to implement these programs in your facilities.
