The Exhibition for Architecture and Environmental Health is an organized poster session display that will showcase noteworthy green healthcare buildings. A green healthcare building is one that uses sustainable methods and practices in the design, construction, planning, and/or operations of the facility, particularly where a reduction in energy usage, waste volume, environmental toxins, or a change in purchasing strategies is a stated objective.

Here at the exhibition, designers, architects, and facilities managers have the opportunity to highlight for top-level decision-makers the pioneering contribution their organization has made in cleaning-up healthcare and lessening its environmental burden. Although the show is a lightly juried review meant to ensure a most basic consistency on the exhibit floor, each project solicited is considered uniquely qualified.

Photographs, design sketches, technical diagrams, perspective renderings, spreadsheet illustrations, plan documents, and so on, that effectively describe the project and contribute to the conference platform will be on display. In addition to new construction (including renovations, rehabilitations, and cosmetic upgrades), projects that describe new preferable purchasing strategies, green product specifications, waste reduction practices and the like in a visual format, are important aspects of green building design that this poster session will recognize.
